Congratulations Grant Janicek for taking Overall Reserve Champion at the 2015 Shiawassee County Fair with a Red Barn Farm wether.  You did a fantastic job with him.  Just a little side  note Red Barn Farm and Walker Propane and Gas purchased him at the Small Animal Auction and returned him back to Grant.  This awesome animal became a family pet.  He rides around on the golf cart and he figured out how to unplug the treadmill.  He has a great home and we wish them a long happy life together!  We also want to thank a good friend, Mary Angst for this amazing photo that she captured during the Parade of Champions!

Well.... its a wrap!  The 2015 fair is done and it was a success for Red Barn Farm!  We took Grand And Reserve on Youth Day... Congratulations to Taylor she won Sr. Showmanship and took part in Sweepstakes on Thursday evening!
Red Barn Farm won Grand and Reserve on Open Class day and in the above picture is the Supreme Champion Drive.. We had the Overall Boer Doe.  Then  we went against the Overall Grand Pygmy and Overall Grand Dairy Doe for Supreme Champion.  We won the Supreme of all the breeds.  It is an honor as the quality is deep in the goat barn at Shiawassee County! Congratulations to all the winners.

We had a great time catching up with friends and meeting new ones.  Thanks to everyone who stopped by and said Hi!  This year the goat barn did adult showmanship.  A good friend of ours, Mary Angst volunteered Scott and I to take part.... boy, it was fun!  Our daughter Taylor was one of the judges and quizzed us on goat parts.... Jumping sticks, little blinkers, tum tum....   Scott and Mary tried to out do each other by "posing" their goats.  Standing them up on their back feet.

Our next outing with some of the girls will be the State Fair in Novi.  So stop by and  say Hi!  We would love to see you!  Streakin' Hot is on the list to go BUT she is bred to Custom for October babies and she is getting HUGE.... so she may get to stay home and rest!
